Hey, guys; Atrum here.

As you all probably know, or have figured out by now, I haven't been able to update my dA a lot in recent weeks.
Work has joined forces with schoolwork, bombarding me in a volley of bullshit; on top of that, my new bow arrived last week and I've been shooting it, trying to get ready for the first outdoor tournament of the season next weekend.

But, considering you most probably don't care much about what's going on in my personal life, I'll update you on my works-in-progress instead:


- Beach Days [[Even though I refuse to post it here, since it's a story just for ~Brompton-Cocktail-7x]]
This one is at a stand still, for now. I'm going to work furiously on listening to certain songs, watching different films, and reading all kinds of short stories to get my brain moving on this one--but I'm not going to rush it, even though it's one of my top priorities. It's a very special piece, and I want it to be perfect.

- Bat Country [[Name pending; I'll probably rename it]]
I'm going to be working on this one a bit tonight; Saarni kindly helped me rename 'The Rumble' [[if you read my first journal entry, you'll know that he is one of the main characters]] to 'The Spine'. Much more fitting to the character himself, we agreed. So in the next few days, you should expect to be hearing from me on this one--I'm having a lot of fun with it as far as creativity goes.

- Shadows Help Us
This one was a one-shot story that was supposed to be my entry for :devRandom-Plotlines:'s January contest, but I left dA before I could send it to them. So I'll probably post it here--you don't need a plot summary, you can just read it whenever I put it up here. Which should be soon; this is another one I'm having a lot of fun with, and my sister [[my blood-sister, the one that lives with me ]] helped me a lot in coming up with some pretty gruesome, but still frickin' awesome, ideas.

So that's my update on stories...
On another note, I've got a Synyster Gates portrait in the works; much better than my first one, I'm very proud of it and I can't wait to show you guys.
If anyone steals it [[I'm not talking about any of you guys, because I'm sure you wouldn't do that, right?]] I'm going to kick some ass. Because it took me hours just to get the facial structure right, before I even put any of the facial features in.
Hopefully you guys like it.
After Synyster, I'll be working on a Special Project which will not be posted until after my visit to Oklahoma. =]
It's a gift//birthday surprise for my Sister of Grim, so it won't be open for viewing until I get back from shooting the tournament//raisin' hell with Saarni in Oklahoma, in July.

Also--and this may shock you guys, too; it's shocked everyone else I know--I'll be going to my prom next month: in a dress and heels.
If any of you besides Saarni know a thing about me, you'll know that I'm not usually the sort of person to wear pretty dresses OR heels.
I'm not very 'girly', usually.
My sister's ex//my friend Brian was like, "The fuck?? She's gonna be in a girly dress??"
Yes. And I like it, actually. It's very "me", even though it's a dress. It's one of the few dresses that doesn't look hideous on me.
So I'll post a picture of it at some point...

Anyway. I'm gonna go screw around on MySpace, write some more... maybe even be a good student and do my homework NOT at the last minute.
